WHEN YOU DONATE TO TEF

  • You support a low-income student from 5th through 12th grade. You may choose to support them only for 1 year; TEF ensures 7 years of support. 

  • You endow students in Turkey with academic knowledge, personal growth, and professional opportunities. 

  • You empower girls, break the cycle of poverty, and contribute to each individual's universal right to education.

  • 100% of your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the U.S. law; TEF is a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS.

nO GIFT IS TOO SMALL.

 

 Give as much as you are able. TEF students appreciate your generosity as much as your intention.  

scholarship amounts

TEF provides 10-month scholarships. On average, a gift of $250 supports one low- income student for one year. In 2022, we supported a total of 1,150 students across Turkey.

dONOR LEVELS

TEF donors are  recognized at the following levels:​

  • Hope (Umut): up to $250 

  • One Candle (Bir Mum): $250

  • New Moon (Yeni Ay): $1,000

  • Half Moon (Yarım Ay): $5,000

  • Full Moon (Dolunay): $10,000

  • Sun (Güneş) $25,000

ENDOWMENT OPTIONS

With gifts over $5000, you can endow scholarships in the honor or memory of your loved ones under the mutually agreed endowment terms.

HOW TO DONATE 

  • Make a secure, online donation via Network for Good.
    You can make a one-time or recurring donation. 100% of your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the U.S. taxation law.

 

  • Check with your employer if they will provide corporate matching to your charitable donations.
    Most U.S. corporations match their employees’ charitable donations, contributing to their civic engagement and also increasing the donation amount at no additional cost to the employee. Learn more at this link and check if your employer provides corporate matching. Each company handles corporate matching a little differently, and you can usually find information on your company’s intranet about the process to submit donations for corporate match. Here are some things you will generally need:

    • TEF (Turkish Educational Foundation) is the recipient organization for your match. TEF is a California 501(c)(3) Non­Profit Organization: Tax ID:  D 0595318​

 

  • Send a check payable to “Turkish Educational Foundation” at P.O. Box 391165, Mountain View, CA 94039.
